50% of Women Who Lost Their Unborn Babies Had the Lowest Mommy-Baby Communication Scores

(Sept. 16, 2022 Carmichael, CA) “We’re always shocked to hear when a family loses their unborn child,” Donna Schwontkowski, author of the new book The Womb Diaries. All Mommy-Baby Communication Starts Here said. “But it’s possible that a factor in that loss is based on the mom’s – and dad’s communication with their unborn baby. And this type of communication can be learned.”

Mommy-Baby and Human Communication Matters

Schwontkowski found that the lower the mom’s score for mommy-baby communication, the more likely it was that the baby did not live through the pregnancy. All moms with scores of less than 100 had babies that did not live for various reasons. Twenty percent of the babies in the next two categories, 100-150 and 150-200, also did not live. Categories with scores of greater than 200 and greater than 300 had 0% baby deaths.

Categories with scores of greater than 200 and greater than 300 had 0% baby deaths.

In the early days of the foundling hospitals in the 1800s and 1900s, 100% of babies died when they were not given human connection. Although their physical and medical needs were met, they were not coddled, talked to, sang to, and treated as if they were more than a patient body in a room. No one paid attention to them.

The results of this new preliminary analysis show a similar trend. The more the mothers communicated with their babies, understanding their emotions and related to them, the better chances the baby had to survive.

In her analysis of 25 women’s stories about their communication with their baby in the womb, 53 different indices were scored on a scale. From there, some patterns have emerged that may give us an idea of how to help pregnant moms successfully carry their babies to term.

The Mothers Had Very Specific Communication with Their Unborn

For the six moms who had lost their babies, each baby had given their mother specific defined mommy-baby communication moments. These moments were received via dreams, visions, impressions or through auditory means. Yes, there were times where some moms heard their unborn baby speak.

There were also instances where the babies forewarned their mother of something foreboding on the horizon. The babies died of different causes: an ibuprofen overdose the mom took to kill herself, victim of domestic abuse during the 8th month, breathing problems right after a C-section, a broken heart from daddy rejection of the mother and baby, stress on the mother that included overwork and lack of nutrition, and one girl that simply did not want to be born.

Rejection Was Part of the Miscarriage Picture

Half of the babies who had passed away had fathers that had demanded an abortion or had specific discussions with the mom that they were rejecting the baby. In one case, the mother was beaten, told she should have had an abortion, ended up in ICU, and then had to endure induced labor in her weakened condition. Still, her baby had prepared her for this time via several dreams showing her smiling face that enamored the mom and gave her strength during the birthing. She kept focusing on the baby’s smiling face during this difficult time.

Another baby, listening in on Mom’s conversation with a friend, went into a debilitating kicking episode that stopped mom from finishing the discussion on how she had wanted to give birth to and cater to a child. This particular mother states she was filled with hate and frustration for her changing body, the way the baby’s father treated her, her circumstances, the bullying she had to endure, depression, and unforgiveness. Considering all the dreams from the baby prior to the baby’s death, the mother clearly saw that her baby really didn’t want to live. Her unborn baby had forewarned her that something was wrong via dreams and kicking patterns. To avoid an abortion, she decided to overdose instead, leading to the baby’s death.

The common consensus among a large segment of society is that the unborn baby is so undeveloped that it is capable of nothing. Yet, these babies – or their baby spirits – clearly communicated with their mothers, warning them, preparing them, and giving them courage and strength to face difficult circumstances. The communication was sometimes a dialogue, not a monologue.

Unborn Babies Have Communicated Through Crying or Speaking to Their Moms

In another case, the baby stopped communicating with the mother in early second trimester after plenty of lively mommy-baby communication episodes, including one telling her his name audibly. Scientists believe that babies do not have the capacity to speak or cry in the womb; however, there have been reports in medical journals on doctors who are in the process of delivering the first twin and audibly hear the second twin crying in the womb.

In one of the six cases, the mother heard the baby crying twice as the father broke off the relationship with her and when he apologized. On another occasion, a couple was watching a movie where there was a baby crying. The mom started feeling what she called “trickles” in her abdomen she sensed as the baby crying, which mysteriously stopped when the baby stopped crying on the TV.

“The 25 moms from eight different countries who provided their womb diary did not know each other at the time of their pregnancy, yet the consistency in their stories is something to think about,” Schwontkowski said.

In five out of six babies that passed away, the moms felt a sense of oneness with their baby in the womb and an unbreakable bond from the early days in their pregnancy. “The women’s stories make it clear to anyone reading them that the unborn babies are doing a lot more than what most people believe,” Schwontkowski said. “They are capable of so much – and it’s time to bring out their potential and help them get set up for a beautiful and fruitful life.”
